The entire SurveySolutions product line is architected on the Perseus .Next platform, providing open support for UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems, and all standard DB platforms. The cornerstone of the Perseus .Next platform is the ability to manage broad scale survey implementation from a centralized environment. It allows for 100 percent web-based management of Enterprise Feedback Solution.

Prior to the development of .Next, web-based software solutions had simply automated the process of conducting surveys. .Next provides the essential functionality for organizations to apply a true workflow environment for Enterprise Feedback Management. The first such application environment to be developed was SurveySolutions EFM, which encompasses respondent panel and invitation management; word-processor survey creation; advanced questionnaire logic; permission-based workflow; and web-based reporting from a secure, centralized environment.

The .Next architecture encompasses three components:

The main application, which handles survey design, deployment, and reporting

The database where information is stored

The web server/survey processor, which displays surveys to respondents and collects their results

These three components can be installed on a single machine or separated on different machines to increase enterprise scalability, performance, and reliability.
